For 16 years, Baechle competed successfully in weightlifting elementary resource school science teaching and powerlifting, setting various Midwest records. For more than 20 years he coached collegiate powerlifting teams, strength-trained athletes, elementary resource school science teaching and taught weight training classes. Baechle was the force behind the creation of the CSCS elementary resource school science teaching and NSCA-CPT examinations that are offered through the NSCA Certification Commission. Roger Earle, MA, CSCS,*D; NSCA-CPT,*D, is the associate executive director elementary resource school science teaching and the director of exam development for the NSCA Certification Commission.
